Second day of filming

Hey guys welcome back to my blog!!! Today, I'll be talking about our second day of filming and everything we did. On this day we mainly focused on recording all our indoor scenes, and majority of Jasmine’s solo shots. We completed our phone call scene in which Jasmine was on the phone with her boyfriend who was letting her know he was outside waiting for her. We filmed at Courtney’s house also using her neighborhood as our background for a lot of our later shots. My entire group was there Jonathan, Courtney, Nyles, and I along with Jasmine as she is our main actor.

I’d say lighting was our biggest challenge. Day lights saving time has been really taking a toll on us since it gets dark at around 6:30-7 instead of 8. In the back of our scenes it was noticeably dark outside especially in the scenes that took place downstairs since Courtney’s house has a lot of windows. We however found a solution and used the TV as a light source. This solution surprisingly worked really well until it got even darker and the glare from the TV was noticeable in some of our shots. We weren’t able to control the lighting how we wanted so we tried searching up different colors such as red, yellow, and white to see if it’d make a difference. In the end yellow seemed to provide the most natural lighting look, and allowed us to get the shots as needed.
