Last day of filming
Welcome
back to my blog.
Today we’ll
be talking about our fourth day of filming. This day was dedicated to our last
scene of the entire film. All these shots were recorded inside, downstairs. For
our lighting we utilized natural lighting closing the curtains in such a way
that showed just a bit of light so the environment would be darker and tenser. The
lack of light forces the audience to imagine threats, making their shock more unpredictable.
Additionally, the dim lighting makes the audience focus on small details,
anticipating something to emerge.
All our group members showed up this day although
we were all on a time crunch since we were going on a 4-day college trip the
next day. The entire filming process this day was by far the most challenging,
as it was much harder than predicted to make it flow naturally. In a previous
blog I mentioned we had two different solutions one where Jonathan is the
killer and another where Jasmine is the killer. In our first solution where
Jonathan pops up behind Jasmine and kills her it was very straightforward and easily
executed. Our second solution however was a great idea but once we tried to
execute it, it seemed very choppy and low quality. This led us to refilm our
first solution multiple times and later while editing pick the best shot for
the film.
Thanks
