Group dynamics and Overall issues

Welcome back guys!!!

One of the biggest challenges for me was working in a group. While it definitely lightened the workload and made things much easier, it was difficult to communicate my ideas in a way that others could fully visualize. I often wished I could just show people exactly what I was thinking so they could completely understand my vision. However, I’ve learned that it’s always better to speak up rather than just go along with everything, even when everyone has their own perspectives and opinions.

Another major setback we faced that I've mentioned before was Jasmine’s hair. She had locs at the start of filming but later switched to braids, which created continuity issues. This meant we had to refilm certain shots to maintain consistency. Of course, this wasn’t her fault, my group and I should have been more efficient with our filming schedule while she still had her locs. That would have given us extra time to review our progress and address any concerns.

Looking back, I also wish we had rented better filming equipment. Jonathan's camera isn’t bad, but it’s not exactly the best for a film like ours. Investing in higher-quality camera gear, a microphone, and proper lighting would have made a big difference. We actually ran into an issue mid-filming when my camera wasn’t compatible with the microphone a group member brought. Lighting was another major struggle, partly due to time constraints and the layout of the filming location. Having additional lighting equipment would have really helped improve the overall visual quality.

That’s all for today!!
