Preparations

 

The easier things to prepare were the actors and costumes. We all have the same friend group and only one of our friends, Jasmine, really fits the girly teenage dream aesthetic. Fortunately her boyfriend is Jonathan(my other group member and best friend) so it makes sense that he’d play the role of a “psycho boyfriend”. For costumes we were debating between a white tube top and blue jean pants, or a pink top with the same blue jeans pants. Both fit the aesthetic so we decided to let the actor decide.

Props were also pretty easy to discuss. Simple hair bows, a purse, and maybe a wallet(we aren’t sure if that's really necessary). We’ve decided to film at Courtney's house(my other group member), her room has enough space and has a girly teenage feel to it. January 10th was our first meeting at 2pm and our second meeting is supposed to be January 17th at around 4pm after we get out of school. Our film equipment is Jonathan’s camera, Nyles camera, and a tripod.

Nyles and Jonathan are the prime recorders(Jonathan being second in line) ,however Courtney and I help when needed. Courtney and I mostly fix the environment and make sure everything in the shot looks right. We also give Jasmine pointers on what to fix whether it be her body language, paralanguage, or facial expressions. Jonathan is an actual actor in the scene so when he isn’t acting he switches places with Nyles recording different scenes.
