Palette

 

In our project we utilized mostly cool colors. Ranging from pink to white to certain shades of red. Cool and light colors create a softer aesthetic which is what we want our main character to be viewed as. Her outfit consisted of white and blue,  white was used so she is portrayed as innocent, unknowing, and delicate, while blue was used to add calmness to her character. Jonathan our second main character is dressed in red to show his evil intent. The red jacket almost serves as a “mask” of his true self. Additionally red is seen as dominant and manly which adds to his jock persona. 

 Jasmines room mostly has green which is used to signify peace in her personal environment. Additionally in the opening soft/light colors were used to emphasize jasmines lighthearted happy personality. Adding this detail helps creates more of a shock factor for the audience when jasmine dies. The car used when picking jasmine up will also be a dark color either black or dark grey, so it creates a feeling of danger.
