Our ideasss

 

Hey all!!1 Today i’m going to speak about my groups final project idea. When brainstorming our ideas together we realized we all had entirely different ideas on what we wanted to do. Because of this we ended up decided to mix two genres. Teenage dream/teenage drama and thriller. The opening of our movie is going to be teenage dream based, we’re going to show flashes of items you’d see in a teenage girls room(mascara, cheer outfit, hairbow, etc.) These are basic conventions you’d see in a teenage drama/dream film. 

Towards the middle/end of the film is when thriller conventions really start showing. We plan to have a “local news” headline that introduces the idea that a student in the same high school as our main characters has been murdered. After mentioning this the film will go on as if it was a minor detail, its not until later on when our main character gets in the car with her boyfriend where things start to go wrong. We plan to use thriller conventions such as jump scares, certain music choices, and blood to really convey our message to the audience. It’s going to be hard to combine these two genres but I believe with our idea and skills we’re going to execute this film very well.
