St. Louis and I
Shot 1: Extreme wide shot/ Wide shot(W.S)
-In this shot, I was trying to make the subject (Courtney) appear small in comparison to her environment while still making her the focus point. During the first 5 seconds of the video, when it's a wide shot, you can see some of her facial expressions and read her body language; however, when the frame becomes more of an extreme wide shot, you can't see her facial structure or much of her body language.
Shot 2: High angle/ Long shot
- I tried to draw attention to Courtney while showing the background in this shot. It allowed the audience to absorb all the relevant information while showing where my character is. Additionally, the angle makes the character seem important while showing her entire body.
Shot 3: Close up/extreme close up
- Shot was taken with the idea of showing the emotions and details on subjects face. It helps captures her enthusiasm in that moment.
Shot 4: Medium full shot
- This shot showed subjects movements and gestures along with her face and torso. It allowed a partial view of the background along with facial expressions and the context of her body language. I took this shot with the intention of showing dialogue and how she reacts to what the person behind the camera(me) said.
Shot 5: POV full shot
-I took this shot with the intention of showing how courtney(the subject) looks from my perspective. It really puts the watcher into my perspective and allows them to imagine themselves in my position.
Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed!!!

You did a really good job witht your shots I personally loved the medium full shot as you perfectly captrued the face expression and torso
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with your shots especially shot 1! It thoroughly isolated me within the environment while still showing my surroundings. And even though I am a main part of the frame, I still manage to appear small and unimportant.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, I really enjoyed shot 5 as it gives a causal atmosphere, hinting towards the dynamic between me and the camera man. Also, being able to see my reaction and body language helps establish the scene.
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job with your shot 5, the POV Shot. I thought it was really cool being able to see Courtney from your perspective. I felt like I was actually there in person seeing Courtney. I also like how you included the POV shot since I don't see it very often, I thought this was different and it caught my interest.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, I like your use of the close up/extreme close up. You captured the subjects' facial expressions and emotions. I can tell the subject was really happy in this scene. Good Job!
