ABOUT ME
ME AND MY SUMMER😅😅
I'm Jonnele Mends, and this is my 3rd year attending Everglades High School. Earlier this year, during a volleyball tournament, I tore my ACL, which strongly impacted my way of living, especially after surgery. Tearing my ACL resulted in me experiencing the most shocking, indescribable pain I've ever felt. Post-surgery left me practically incapable in all aspects; I couldn't use the bathroom by myself, I couldn't shower for two weeks after my surgery, I couldn't go to my room upstairs without intense struggle, I couldn't carry anything, and I couldn't enjoy the first half of my summer. I was locked in the house, only leaving for both physical and psychological therapy.
MY GOALS☺☺☺
I am starting my junior year and plan to enroll for early admission senior year. I decided to take this class to gain my Aice diploma and learn more about photography. I've always been interested in how camera angles make certain movie scenes appear, specifically in action movies such as Avengers Infinity War. Additionally, I plan to become an orthopedic surgeon and attend Howard University in Washington, D.C. Typically, the process to become a surgeon takes eight years; however, by 2026, when I graduate, I should have cut off three years due to my starting dual enrollment first year.
